The Lancashire Business View annual Hot 100 list features the county’s most profitable SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). It is a unique ranking that showcases the best performing SMEs listed by profit and celebrating a company’s contributions to the economy in Lancashire.
The Affordable Windows group of companies has progressed steadily upwards through the ranks of the Hot 100 since it began, retaining a top-10 position for the second year running in 2020.
Construction and manufacturing are two powerhouses of Lancashire’s economy, accounting for more than half of the companies on the most recent list. The 2020 rankings demonstrate the strength and stability of the county’s economy before Covid-19 – but those attributes will be put to the test as work begins on economic recovery in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The resilience and determination of Lancashire’s SMEs will be needed more than ever in the months to come.
